GAME's Best of 2015

2015 has been a massive year for gaming; with some of the biggest and best games we've seen in a while, it's been one of the best years in recent history. Here at GAME we've been racking our brains trying to pick our favourite games for 2015, and with such a great list to choose from it hasn't been easy!

Despite this, we've managed to come together and deliver our top games of 2015.

1. Just Cause 3

This game took everything that made Just Cause 2 great and made it better. This isn't just my favourite game of 2015 this is my new favourite game ever!!

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

A fitting end to Geralt's tale, rendered beautifully in the best open world experience to date. Plus, I now have giant Griffin statue...

1. Football Manager 2016

I sink a silly amount of hours into these games every year, where else can you take your local team to Champions League glory after all?

1. Halo 5

As a long time invested Halo fan the Halo 5 plot blew my mind! Halo 5 was the perfect mix of fast paced action to make me feel like an absolute hero, while fuelling my inner nerd with fantastic extra story information gems to discover.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V is a fantastic swan song to the Metal Gear franchise. Hideo Kojima & his team have delivered an incredibly fun game that keeps on giving even after dozens of hours of gameplay.

1. Fallout 4

Oh my, this game blew me away. My words will not do it justice, so I hope that having it as number one will.

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Beautifully dark RPG, where you must decide between the lesser evil. You can easily lose hundreds of hours in the world of The Witcher.

1. Until Dawn

Absolutely amazing next gen horror game that feels like you are playing a movie. Amazing visuals, musical score, atmosphere and a story line with a brilliant twist. Desperate for a follow up!

1. Fallout 4

A triumphant return to the post-apocalyptic, irradiated wasteland of Boston. Welcome home.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

As a Metal Gear Solid fan it couldn't really be anything else could it? Kojima's Swan Song not only met my expectation, it smashed them.

1. Life is Strange

Oh man this game... it's tear-jerking, suspense filled, innovative, thought provoking... Anyone who likes choice based games absolutely cannot miss this one out. But bring the tissues – I'm still not over the ending.

1. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

This is a stunningly beautiful and incredibly well designed game. The Trilogy still holds its own, and can easily match most major titles being produced today.

1. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V is the most sublime game I've played in recent years. It feels excellent to play, it's addictive, never becomes a chore, and continually throws new things at you. Hideo Kojima, I salute you.

1. Fallout 4

The perfect post-apocalyptic playground, Fallout 4 is one of the best iterations of the franchise. With hours of quests to delve into, I won't be playing much else for a long time!

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X

Intuitive combat, tons of missions and a beautiful open-world to explore, Xenoblade is one of the largest games I have encountered, thankfully it doesn't handhold for too long and encourages players to explore the world of Mira.

1. Batman Arkham Knight

The storyline was incredible and it really brought the best out of joker, showing his dark, twisted and hilarious ways. Also being a massive fan of the comics, I loved that they included the 'New-52' costumes.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles X

An RPG with an amnesiac protagonist, convoluted combat system, little to no signposting AND you get to pilot giant robots!?! A little slice of heaven for me!

1. Assassin's Creed: Syndicate

I have only played this game for about 2 hours but I already love it. The graphics are incredible, the twins are brilliant characters and I can't wait to delve further into Victorian London!

1. Rise of the Tomb Raider

Continuing from how successful 2013's Tomb Raider was, Crystal Dynamics nailed the visuals and improved upon so many aspects of the game. I'm finding it hard to think of a reason to dislike this one.

1. Dying Light

Who doesn't like drop kicking zombies in the face? The game is just pure brilliance from start to finish.
