Binary Domain to receive PC edition

Sega has confirmed that its acclaimed sci-fi action game Binary Domain will be making its way to PC this April.

The third-person squad shooter was released earlier this year on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to critical acclaim, leading PC owners to clamour for their own version.

Binary Domain is the latest title from Toshihiro Nagoshi, the creator of the Yakuza series, and is set in a robot-occupied future version of Tokyo, in which human society has become increasingly fractured.

Featuring a branching storyline, refined gunplay, a huge range of weapons and sophisticated AI, the game has been billed as a unique addition to the shooter landscape.

Gary Knight, senior vice-president of marketing at Sega, said: "As well as the excitement generated by Binary Domain in the console press, we were seeing increasing numbers of players asking for a PC version. So we listened and we delivered."

Nagoshi's team at Sega has developed a formidable reputation for its work on the Yakuza crime series, the latest of which, Yakuza: Dead Souls, was released earlier this month.
