Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is a multiplayer survival shooter game with a difference. Developed and published by the PUBG Corporation, this player versus player action game sees 100 players parachute onto an island, locate the best weapons and fight in a battle royale, a last man standing deathmatch.Fans and newcomers to the game can anticipate a world of exploration in eight main locations, plus with other hidden areas of the map to be discovered. The map, called Miramar, is set in the desert providing a refreshing contrast to the lush green environment players have come to be familiar with in the original Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds. Explore open areas and abandoned warehouses on your quest to find other players and engage in battle.

Renowned for its online multiplayer gameplay, PUBG allows players to enter the battlefield as a small team or as a single player. As the world shrinks during combat, forcing remaining survivors to fight to their death, an array of weapons, vehicles and tactics are used to ensure you, or your team are victorious. The game, which was a prominent player on Steam for 2017, hits gamers screens this winter, but this time on Xbox One. Available first in ‘Xbox Game Preview’ mode, publishers Bluehole have indicated there will be some improvements made before the final product is released. Playing in this earlier access mode means that you’ll receive regular updates and new features, constantly seeing gameplay improve as you move through this world. Notable features in the Xbox One gameplay include the positively reviewed in-frame rate. With suggestions from Bluehole creators that the game will run at 30fps regardless of Xbox model, gamers are in for an immersive gaming experience.
