Best In-Game Events for Easter 2021

We might have lost an hour as the clocks went forward, but a 4-day bank holiday weekend will make up for lost time. If you are wondering how to spend your long weekend, there are many in-game events being hosted to celebrate Easter! Here are some of the best in-game events happening this Easter weekend.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Ostara Festival

AC Valhalla received a free update mid-March that saw an abundance of eggs in the game. The Ostara festival takes place in your settlement Ravensthorpe and Eivor can set off on their own Easter egg hunt. There are also limited-time quests available and a few favourite mini-games that were previously part of the Yule festival. Completing the quests and activities around Ravensthorpe will reward you with Ostara Tokens that you can redeem for special rewards. So, if you want Eivor to play drinking games, shoot some targets and hunt down eggs, the Ostara Festival is for you.

Make sure your game is fully up-to-date and the Ostara Event will start automatically when you load up the game.

Fortnite – Spring Breakout

There is a new Easter-themed event in Fortnite! This update will have festive skins, a tournament, and the return of the popular egg launcher. This is the first-ever spring event and there really is lots to enjoy in this free-to-play battle royale game. There will be special Legendary Quests from Webster available that if completed, will unlock some serious rewards! You can find out even more about the event here.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Bunny Day

We just had to mention it, we’re sorry. Last year the Bunny Day event saw plenty of new DIY’s and so. Many. Eggs. This year, Nintendo has confirmed the Bunny Day event will be returning – but this time they have reduced the egg spawn rates and the event is hosted for a week. Zipper T. Bunny will be on your island on April 4th with special Bunny Day Bed recipes to celebrate the Easter event. From the 28th March you will find various coloured eggs in the ground, washing up in the beach and even floating in gifts. Make sure you save them up for DIY crafting!

If you haven’t got the event yet, make sure your Nintendo Switch is connected to the internet and your game is up-to-date.

Pokémon Go - Easter Eggstravaganza

Charge up your phone and head outside this Easter weekend for the Pokémon Go Easter Eggstravaganza! The event kicks off on the 4th April 10am and ends 8th April at 8pm. Many Pokémon will appear more frequently including Flower Crown Pikachu, Flower Crown Chansey Exeggcute and many more. Egg hatch distances will be halved, Egg Hatch Candy is doubled, and certain Pokémon will appear more often from 2km distance eggs!

Stardew Valley – The Egg Festival

The Egg Festival in Stardew Valley on Nintendo Switch takes place on the 13th day of every Spring in Pelican Town Square. It is the perfect time for you to socialize with the villagers and take part in the Egg Hunt! Between 9am and 2pm, head to Pelican Town Square and you will see all your villagers gathered to celebrate the event.

There is the opportunity to purchase some decorative items and Strawberry Seeds. If you plant these seeds before the 16th you’ll harvest them twice before Summer! When you are ready and finished socialising, you can kick off the Egg Hunt. You and other villages will have 50 seconds to search the town for small, coloured eggs. Try to find as many as possible to win a special reward!
