    Battlefield 1

Battlefield 1 was a game-changer this year, the choice to go all the way back to 1918 and the First World War resulted in an absolutely mind-blowing game which had poignancy as well as fun-factor.

We were blown away by the incredible narrative that showed us different perspectives of war and gave it such a human element as well as being so much fun to play, especially in multiplayer. Seriously a game you need to experience.

Final Fantasy XV arrived after a ten year wait with HUGE ambitions, and an incredible point to prove. In our mind, it totally succeeded.

    Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2 dropped in October of 2016 with much anticipation from it's predecessors fanbase. Not only had Respawn spent 2 years refining the multiplayer experience but they had answered fans cries for a single player campaign.

The multiplayer has maintained it's fast paced parkour gunplay with mech combat, introducing new Mech classes and abilities. But the real surprise and feather in its cap, is the wonderfully crafted single player. Combining unique and creative level design, gameplay mechanics and story, Titanfall 2 deserves it's place in this top 10.

    DOOM

The return of DOOM was never going to be a quiet affair, it did not disappoint on that front.

Shooting space demons in the face became our obsession back in May, with the super-addictive multiplayer allowing players to become the demon in death matches. DOOM was a real next-gen reboot, it was updated but it didn't lose any of the charm it's always had, huge guns, demons and rock music Is what life is all about on the UAC.

    Forza Horizon 3

Whether you were lusting after a Lamborghini or yearning for a Ute, Forza Horizon 3 delivered a driving game where the sleek lines of supercars were rivalled by the scenery itself.

In an age of increasingly technical driving games, Forza Horizon 3 gave us up an expansive open world experience which kept the fast without provoking the fury. With an incredible range of over 350 cars to choose from and some of the most spectacular locations Australia's Gold Coast has to offer, Forza Horizon 3 was a racing game for everyone, from hard-core street racers to off-road warriors. Crammed with races, stunts, challenges and treasure hunts to keep even the most hungry of road hogs busy, Forza 3 Horizon had even more under the hood, offering online competitive and co-op gameplay. Racing had never been this much fun.
