Call of Duty: Black Ops scores sixth chart-topping week

Call of Duty: Black Ops has clocked up another week on top of the UK all-formats sales chart.

Official GfK-ChartTrack data shows that Activision and Treyarch's shooter for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS and PC led the pack once again during what proved to be 2010's single biggest week in terms of games sold.

Black Ops has proven to be a record-breaking blockbuster and has now topped the UK sales rankings for six weeks out of the seven it has been on sale.

In addition, it was revealed by Activision earlier this month that the title has already crossed the $1 billion (£650 million) mark in worldwide sales at a speed rivalled only by the movie Avatar.

Other top-selling games during the landmark week included EA's bestselling football game FIFA 11, which once again remained in second place.

Another EA title finished third in the form of the critically-acclaimed street racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
