Lego Batman 'just the start' for Warner Bros

The release of Lego Batman could be the initial step to kick-starting the assault of Warner Bros on the computer games market, it has been stated.

Martin Tremblay, Warner Bros' interactive entertainment president, believes that following the firm's acquisition of TT Games for £100 million last year, Lego Batman is just the start of many big things to come.

Mr Tremblay said: "We're very, very happy with LEGO Batman, It's going to be the best TT game ever and will be our first big step in games for sure."

And the snapping up of TT Games may prove to be just the start for Warner Bros, as other big money investments could follow if they fit the right mould.

Mr Tremblay added: "I'm a strong believer that we are not going after developers just for a developer – but if we see something we want to do in a particular genre with a particular IP, then we will go after the developer that fits that profile and can complete the project."

Lego Batman is published by Warner Bros and developed by Traveller's Tales, the developer also responsible for Lego Indiana Jones.
