Zelda makes full use of stylus

Nintendo has offered a tantalising glimpse into the world of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the DS, indicating that the stylus will be all-important.

The game will follow the fortunes of the familiar swashbuckling cartoon hero Link, who will have to solve puzzles, fight bosses, launch special attacks and mark locations on the important map, without which he would be lost.

However, the handheld console's fantastic control system means that many actions can be done simply with a stroke of the stylus. Touching the screen with the slender plastic implement will get Link to walk or run in the direction you are pointing, while enemies can be defeated simply by tapping them!

"In The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, you'll soon learn that the ultimate weapon at your disposal is your trusty stylus," a spokesman pointed out.

"Making full use of the Touch Screen, the game lets you control everything from swinging your sword to sailing the high seas with simple strokes of the DS stylus."
