Lego Harry Potter demo coming soon

Eager Muggles looking forward to the upcoming Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 are to get the chance to try out a demo of the game this month.

The trial version of the brick-based adaptation of JK Rowling's blockbuster books arrives on Xbox 360 on June 7th 2010 and will be followed by PlayStation 3 and PC versions later in the month.

Gamers who grab the demo will be able to get to grips with the title's spell-casting gameplay, as well as explore the spooky Forbidden Forest which lies on the grounds of Hogwarts.

However, it will be just a taste of the range of game options on offer when the full adventure launches at the end of June, also being released on Wii, DS and PSP.

The game encompasses all of Harry's adventures from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone through to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and allows gamers to play as 167 different characters from the series.

It will also be the perfect way for fans to prepare for the launch of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 game, which comes out at the end of the year alongside the movie.
