Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 on the way

Batman fans will be excited to learn that a sequel to this year's critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham Asylum is being produced.

Developer Rocksteady Studios has revealed it has already started work on Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, which will once again pit the Dark Knight against his archnemesis the Joker and Harley Quinn, his loyal henchwoman.

Comic enthusiasts will be eagerly awaiting the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, which was given the title of Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever by Guinness World Records.

The game challenged players to fight their way through the titular madhouse to foil Joker's latest diabolical scheme, taking on villains like Killer Croc, Poison Ivy and Bane along the way.

Sefton Hill, the game's director, said that it was a "dream come true" to make a Batman title and told fans to expect big things from the sequel.

He said: "We are honoured to create the next chapter in this compelling story and promise to deliver another game worthy of the Dark Knight."
