Developer Bungie has showcased a brand-new co-operative multiplayer option for its forthcoming shooter Halo 3: ODST.
The spin-off to the classic Halo 3 will introduce fans to Firefight mode, which will see players team up to slog their way through ten difficult missions against ever-tougher Covenant onslaughts.
Users will be forced to employ teamwork and ever-changing battle strategies as they look to fend off Brute attacks in familiar locations such as New Mombasa.
Fans of the series are already eagerly anticipating the new title, which will act as a prequel to the original Halo 3, revealing new backstory through the eyes of a special forces Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.
Those who buy the game will also be guaranteed access to the forthcoming multiplayer beta version of Halo: Reach, Bungie's highly-anticipated 2010 prequel to the entire series.
