Pokemon Platinum coming to Europe

Fans of the Pokemon range of games have been told that the latest instalment of the franchise will arrive in Europe this May.

Nintendo has announced that the title Pokemon Platinum, which has already gone down a storm in Japan, is heading to Europe for a release on May 22nd.

Gamers bought the title in their droves in the Far East, with 2.4 million copies sold to date, which makes it the second biggest title sold in Japan last year.

The first million of this figure was sold within the title's first three days of release.

Among the developments for gamers is the chance to explore a "brand new Distortion World, governed by neither time nor space", while the game can be played online in new ways.

The title will be available on the Nintendo DS and Kat Bailey of 1UP.com said: "Even after you finish up the main quest, stop messing around with the Battle Recorder, and clear out the Battle Frontier, you've still got side quests and contests to keep you busy."
