Watch Dogs on Wii U will have DLC after all

Ubisoft's cyberpunk sandbox adventure Watch Dogs finally comes to Wii U this week, and the good news for expectant fans is that it will be getting some bonus content as well.

Two downloadable expansions will be made available via the Nintendo eShop. Watch Dogs: Conspiracy! adds a new digital trip minigame to the experience, as anti-hero hacker Pearce uses special vision to detect cyborgs from space at loose in the world. It's up to you to find, identify and kill these invaders. It's not real, of course: the digital trips are computer-assisted hallucinations.

Also available will be the Access Granted Pack. This includes three extra story missions, six new character skins and bonus perks for Pearce's skill tree. The Wii U version sadly won't be getting the Bad Blood expanion, which lets you play as side character T-Bone.

The big advantage of Watch Dogs on the Wii U, of course, is that you get to use the game pad touchscreen to control your hacking, which certainly adds a more immersive feel to the action.

Watch Dogs came out for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC earlier this year and proved very popular, breaking the record for first day sales for a Ubisoft title. It's already shifted 9 million copies.

Watch Dogs is out for Wii U on 21 November.
