Dying Light creeps into January

Dying Light Release Date

Dying Light, the openworld zombie-mashing free-running adventure from Dead Island creator Techland, has shifted its release date slightly. The game had been set for a February 2015 release, but will now come out in the UK on 30 January.

The game bears a lot of similarities to Dead Island, and once again allows you to share the world with three other players as you forage for supplies, rescue survivors and set traps for the monsters. The parkour-flavoured gameplay is perhaps the biggest difference from Techland's previous hit, allowing you to take to the roofs and avoid the undead masses below by running, jumping, climbing and rolling from building to building.

As the title hints, those zombies will be fairly easy to deal with during the daylight, but once the sun goes down they become faster and more aggressive, and are able to climb and jump just like you. You don't want to be caught outside at night, but you will have heightened visual senses to help you locate the creatures in the darkness. There are over 100 weapons, and you can craft even more. You'll also be able to customise your character, and engage in different online modes with other players.

Dying Light will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on 30 January.
