Rayman Legends dated for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Ubisoft has confirmed that its wonderful platform romp Rayman Legends will be coming to next generation consoles early in the new year. The game has been dated for 28th February on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Don't expect much of a visual upgrade - the game already runs at a delicious 60 frames per second in crisp 1080p resolution on the current generation consoles - but there will be some additional goodies to sweeten the deal all the same.

The Xbox One version will come with bonus costumes based around Far Cry 3 and Splinter Cell, while the PlayStation 4 version has costumes based on Assassin's Creed. Both versions also include a bonus Funky Ray outfit that can be unlocked using Uplay points earned across Ubisoft titles.

The Xbox One edition will also boast ten exclusive challenges and time-limited Achievements, while the PlayStation 4 version will use the DualShock 4's touch-pad for gameplay features and will be compatible with the already-released PlayStation Vita version.

It's already an absolutely gorgeous game, and one bursting with content, and if you can't wait for the next gen version it's already available on Wii U, PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
