Rayman Legends: PS Vita version updated and next gen incoming

Rayman Legends is one of the best games of 2013, a critically acclaimed old school platformer that is bursting with content. Some PlayStation Vita owners, however, were disappointed that their edition of the game wasn't quite as bursting with content as the others - it launched without 28 bonus "Invasion" stages, that remix and reverse existing levels for additional challenge.

That content was promised in a free update, and now the official Rayman Twitter account has confirmed it'll be added to the game later this month, along with online leaderboards that will track your completion times against other players worldwide. "Brace yourself for the Invasions!" read the tweet. "The #Rayman Legends PS Vita update with Invasion levels and leaderboard will be available 26 November!"

Once downloaded, the game will have all the same content as the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U versions.

The game is also coming to next generation consoles, Ubisoft confirmed in a call with investors. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of the game are set to arrive in February next year, a fact the publisher confirmed with Eurogamer afterwards. "We will have more information to share on this at a later date," it said.

Rayman Legends is out now for Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. It's lovely.
