New Hitman: Absolution details revealed

The recent teaser trailer for Io Interactive forthcoming Hitman: Absolution gave very little away. A black glove screwing in a silencer and a snake coiled around a pistol didn really tell us very much about Agent 47 latest adventure. Thankfully, however, The Hollywood Reporter has been speaking to some of the actors involved, who have let slip some details about the eagerly-anticipated game.

The lead villain is voiced by Keith Carradine, who some may remember as Agent Frank Lundy in Dexter. Perhaps his character name was a reminder to the casting agent, as hel be playing the role of Blake Dexter. Meanwhile, Mancunian actress Marsha Thomason, who has made TV appearances in the likes of Lost and Las Vegas, will be the titular assassin handler, Diana Burnwood.

Around a dozen Hollywood actors will be lending both their vocal chords and their bodies to the game, with some reportedly omplexperformance capture involved in their roles. The game takes place in various locations across the US, with Chicago already confirmed as a setting. It has been built using the company new Glacier 2 game engine, while the game director Tore Blystad claims it has a ore stylised, more seriousfeel to both storyline and visuals.

Hitman: Absolution is due out next year, with a new film set to be released to coincide with the game launch.
