Sega prepares biggest ever ad campaign for Mario & Sonic

Fans of both the Mario and Sonic franchises may see themselves adding the upcoming London 2012 Olympic Games title to their Christmas list this year.

According to MCVUK.com, the publisher has prepared its biggest ever TV advertising campaign for the latest instalment, set for release on November 18th.

The majority of the adverts, which will target housewives and children, will run on ITV during popular family programmes throughout next month and December.

Aiming to increase market awareness of the game, Sega will run the advertisements through kid's shows in a bid to reach younger gamers looking for exciting gifts.

Mario and Sonic are set to remain at the forefront of Olympic fever, with 90 per cent of the audience expected to see the campaign at least 14 times each.

The third instalment in the hugely popular Mario and Sonic series, London 2012 Olympic Games will include new sports such as football and horse riding.
