Harvest Moon series twins with London farm

The acclaimed Harvest Moon videogame series is teaming up with a farm in London to celebrate the launch of Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar and Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon on Nintendo DS.

In a world first, Surrey Docks Farm has been twinned with the charming virtual world of Harvest Moon, in much the same way that major cities across the globe have done throughout history.

This new partnership between the farm and Rising Star Games will stretch beyond the launch of Grand Bazaar and Rune Factory 3, with the team at Surrey Docks all said to be impressed by Marvelous Interactive's long-running farming series.

Martin Defries, managing director for Rising Star Games, said: 'It's brilliant that we're merging real-life farming with virtual farming.'

Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar and Rune Factory 3: A Fantasy Harvest Moon are both available for Nintendo DS now, offering different takes on the classic farming experience.

Grand Bazaar centres around reviving a once-thriving market in the player's home town, while Rune Factory 3 focuses more on RPG and adventure elements.
