Konami's anime-inspired robot action series Zone of the Enders is to receive a new lease of life with a high-definition compilation release this autumn.
The Zone of the Enders HD Collection is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and includes both the original Zone of the Enders and its sequel Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner.
Created by Metal Gear Solid mastermind Hideo Kojima, the games feature eye-catching battles between giant robots called Orbital Frames in an interstellar setting, married to the in-depth storytelling that has become Kojima's trademark.
This will be the first time either game has been released on any platform since their original PlayStation 2 debuts.
Tomoyuki Tsuboi, president of Konami Digital Entertainment, said: "We are looking forward to bringing the legendary Zone of the Enders series to fans old and new in a high-definition format with the Zone of Enders HD Collection."
Konami will be hoping the new release can match the success of the recent Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, which reached number two in the all-formats chart after debuting on PS3 and Xbox 360 last month.
