WWE 2K15

The new gen console version of wrestling sim WWE 2K15 has slipped slightly. The good news is that the delay is only three weeks. Originally planned to launch alongside the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version on 31 October, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version will now reach UK shelves on 21 November.

The slippage is apparently down to the development team wanting to make sure the series makes a flawless entrance on the new console hardware. "Visual Concepts and Yuke's are committed to delivering the most authentic and action-packed WWE experience to date, including release for the very first time on next-generation consoles,” said Greg Thomas, boss of co-developer Visual Concepts. "The additional development time enables our talented teams to ensure the WWE 2K15 next-gen experience fully meets our expectations."

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of the game will be the only one to feature the MyCareer mode, in which you get to create your own wrestler and take them through to the top of the sport. All versions of the game will feature 2K Showcase, a new historical mode that lets you relive classic WWE rivalries such as the one between John Cena and CM Punk.

If you pre-order the game on any format, you'll get two versions of Sting to play with: his emo-goth modern makeover, and his rather more colourful 1980s incarnation.

WWE 2K15 arrives for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 31 October. It reaches PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 21 November.
