Raymond Cox, better known to the Xbox Live community by his tag Stallion83, has become the first person to earn over 1 million Gamerscore points. He broke the record on Wednesday March 12th, and thanks to the livestreaming Twitch app on Xbox One, everybody got to see him do it.

Before he began his final push, his Gamerscore total stood at 999,705. The game that took him over the magic total was Titanfall, the awesome new multiplayer shooter from many of the team that created Call of Duty. The Achievement which finally tipped the balance into six figures was I Like A Challenge, awarded for completing all the related challenges for any weapon. It's worth 50G, if you fancy it.

The journey to the total wasn't entirely without incident. Some viewers watching his Twitch livestream tried to put him off by spamming his account with game invites, but you don't get within spitting distance of a million Gamerscore by being easily distracted. The Achievement popped and his place in Xbox history was secure.

“Eight years, three months, I don’t know how many days,” Cox said afterwards. “Many many hours, many nights, I can’t explain how much I’ve put into this.”

Titanfall is out now for Xbox One and PC. The Xbox 360 version is also on its way in a few weeks.
