Titanfall for Xbox 360 slips into April

Xbox 360 owners eagerly waiting to get their hands on Respawn's chart-topping shooter Titanfall will have to be patient for a few more weeks

Xbox 360 owners eagerly waiting to get their hands on Respawn's chart-topping shooter Titanfall will have to be patient for a few more weeks. The game, which was originally due to launch on Xbox 360 on March 28th, will now hit the UK on April 11th.

Patrick Söderlund, executive vice-president of EA Studios, made the announcement on publisher EA's blog. "I've been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic," he said. "But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we're giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players. The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game."

The 360 version of the game is being handled by Bluepoint Studios, ported from the Xbox One and PC versions - both of which are out now - developed by Respawn. In case you somehow missed it, the game is a multiplayer-only affair, in which you play as a wall-running, high-jumping pilot, able to summon gigantic Titan mechs from the sky. You can choose to stomp around the battleground in your Titan, or head out on foot.

Titanfall's next gen launch was a rousing success, greeted by overwhelmingly positive reviews and huge sales. It's since been revealed that demand for the Xbox One rocketed by 96% once Titanfall hit the shelves.
