Star Wars: The Old Republic players 'average four hours per session'

Star Wars: The Old Republic players are enjoying average play sessions of more than four hours, according to the creators of the hit new MMORPG.

BioWare co-founder Dr Greg Zeschuk told Kotaku that fans of the game are racking up huge amounts of playtime on the PC title, sinking up to six hours into the sci-fi world at a time, while a small handful have already reached the game's current level cap.

Sunday is proving to be the most popular day for The Old Republic players, while Dr Zeschuk also observed that the game's official forums tend to see drops in traffic during peak times, as fans focus on playing.

Launched in December 2011, the Star Wars RPG has sold more than two million copies and won critical acclaim for its moral choice system, diverse array of character options and fully voiced cast.

Dr Zeschuk promised that the BioWare team is still working just as hard on developing new content as they were before the retail copies shipped.

"We still have feature stuff that goes out a couple of years in advance. This stuff is all dynamic, depending on what happens and what feedback we get," he explained.
