Second season of Telltale's The Walking Dead teased

A short Vine clip has been released, hinting at an imminent announcement for a follow-up to Telltale Games' rapturously received adventure, The Walking Dead.

A tweet from the developer, simply labelled 'Day 2', had the video attached, which shows someone posting a photo of a man named Vince - pictured in what appears to be a bar as he cradles an undetermined beverage - on a missing persons board, to the soundtrack of crickets chirruping.

The video also briefly shows a note asking people to evacuate to nearby shelters, which may suggest the game occurs closer to the beginning of the zombie outbreak. Could we potentially be looking at a prequel to the first season? And could Vince be the protagonist of the new game?

Then again, this could be merely a stopgap between seasons. Writer Gary Whitta previously said we could expect more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two's arrival this coming autumn. "We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two," he teased in an interview in February.

Exactly what form this might take is unclear, but perhaps this video is a clue. Either way, it's exciting news: the original earned over 80 Game of the Year awards for 2012, and Telltale has suggested that players will be able to import their save files from season one to potentially influence the new episodes.
