Respawn's Titanfall coming to PlayStation? 'It's definitely not out of the question'

Titanfall, the new online mech-mashing shooter from Respawn, has been one of the hits of E3, but those with a SONY box under the telly could be forgiven for feeling a little left out. The game is only coming out on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Or is it?

Eurogamer put the notion of a PlayStation version to lead artist Joel Emslie, who previously worked with Respawn's Vince Zampella and Jason West back when they were toiling on a little indie series called Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for Activision.

"We would love to be everywhere, but we're just starting out," Emslie explained. "It comes down to quality, not quantity. We have a fantastic relationship with Microsoft... We of course would want to go further in the future with stuff, but we're just starting out. It's pretty frustrating! We want to be everywhere. We want to put Titanfall everywhere, but that's where we're at. We're starting there."

So could Titanfall make its way to the PlayStation 4, and even PlayStation 3, once Microsoft's exclusivity comes to an end? "It's definitely not out of the question" Emslie teased. "We have a huge appreciation for the fans...We love all our fans, whatever console they support. So yeah. We want to make everybody happy."

Titanfall has yet to receive a firm release date from publisher EA, but will be available for both Xbox consoles and PC.
