Adopt the persona of the cute and mysterious Owlboy, Otus, who was born a mute and studies under a strict owl mentor, Asio. The original Owlboy game was announced back in 2007. Owlboy’s creator Simon Anderson highlighted the importance of not cutting corners when it comes to the beauty of 2D art. As well as this, level designer Adrian Bauer stated that the independent development team, DPad studio, allowed time to properly develop the game via a custom XNA engine that was not fully optimised until 2012.
