New Star Wars game gets a co-writer

Amy Hennig has announced who'll be sharing script duties with her on the eagerly awaited, yet still top secret, Star Wars project at Visceral Games

Only a few weeks ago we learned that Amy Hennig, creative director and writer of the Uncharted series, had joined Visceral Games to head up development on the studio's upcoming Star Wars title. Now, Hennig has announced who'll be sharing script duties with her on the eagerly awaited, yet still top secret, project.

It's Todd Stashwick, a name that may not mean much to you right now, but he's an experienced writer as well as a successful TV actor, with stints on shows such as Heroes, Justified and The Riches. He also wrote the web comic, Devil Inside, and got his start at Chicago's famous Second City comedy theatre. If you remember the teaser trailer for Uncharted 4 from last year, that's Stashwick narrating.

"Thrilled to announce that my friend Todd Stashwick will be joining me as co-writer on the Star Wars project for Visceral Games!" Hennig wrote on Twitter. "[Todd] is a huge gamer, knows Star Wars inside-out and sideways, and is a brilliant writer to boot. How lucky am I?"

"As devout gaming/Star Wars geeks Amy Hennig and I plan on writing a game we want to play," Stashwick added. "We will be our harshest critics. I'm over the moon - wait - that's no moon..."

It certainly sounds like production on the game, which remains under wraps, is gearing up. Visceral has been spotted posting job ads for the game, including some which hint that it may be an openworld sandbox in some form. Watch this space!
