New Release Round Up 22nd Jan 2010

The New Year brings new gaming excitement this week: an entirely new action-adventure game with a new and innovative control system. This week also sees two classic and long-running series get new twists: new characters and new consoles.

New dimensions
Dark Void delivers an entirely new dimension to action-adventure gaming. When new hero Will falls through a rift above the Bermuda Triangle into the Dark Void, he soon has to face off against a sinister race of aliens called The Watchers. Luckily, Will's brought along his experimental jetpack for the (bumpy) ride.

Dark Void turns the action-adventure genre on its side by adding flight to the mix of intense duck-and-cover combat and platform-leaping exploration. With a jetpack on his back, Will can fight the alien menace hovering from cover to cover, while hanging on above thousand feet drops, or take to the skies in all-out dogfighting flight action sequences.

They may not be friendly skies, but Dark Void definitely brings something entirely new to epic action-adventure gaming, so get ready for take-off.

New consoles
Resident Evil Archives: Zero takes the old and makes it new again. The legendary GameCube game, from the legendary Resident Evil survival horror adventure series, now comes to the Nintendo Wii.

With Resident Evil Archives: Zero's unique "Partner Zapping" system, you must control both heroes to keep them alive. Switch instantly between Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen as they face up to the unfolding horror and help them cooperate to solve the puzzles and defeat the terrifying enemies facing them.

New characters
The New Year also brings something new to the long-running Yu-Gi-Oh! series. Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force 4 is the latest in the series of massively-popular Sony PSP games where you collect cards, build a deck and then use your cards to battle it out in strategic, turn-based fights.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force 4 now includes characters and settings from the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D animated TV series. As well as a massive 4,000+ cards to collect, four-player wireless duels and over 300 hours of new gameplay.
