Metro: Last Light - the best looking game around?

The creators of games love to talk up their titles, especially where graphics are concerned. Even given such traditional boasting 4A, the developer behind the upcoming bleak survival shooter Metro: Last Light, isn't pulling any punches. The PC version, it claims, will be the best looking game around right now.

"You have a different potential that you can hit," producer Huw Beynon said of the PC version, in an interview with Eurogamer. "If someone asks me are we doing a next-gen version - well, yes we are. It's the PC. We're one of the few studios out there that have a proven piece of tech that's built for high-end PCs. I firmly believe that the PC version of Metro: Last Light is one of, if not the best looking game you can actually buy, period, at the moment. We're still proud of how we've managed to adapt that for the current generation of consoles."

In fact, they're so confident in the visuals of Last Light that talk of a version for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft's next Xbox is being brushed aside. "It would be a business decision at the end of the day," says Beynon. "It'll depend a lot on what the studio wants to do next. I don't doubt it's something we could do, but it's not something that's actively happening at the moment."

Metro: Last Light is out on May 17th for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
