PS Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: QForce set for January release

Gaming heroes Ratchet and Clank return to PlayStation 3 on November 30th in QForce, but PlayStation Vita owners will have to wait until the New Year to join in the fun, SONY has announced. By way of compensation, PS Vita owners will be given the game's first bit of DLC, a Miniboss multiplayer skin pack, for free.

The game returns Ratchet and Clank to their classic third-person action platforming roots, after the recent All 4 One switched genres to a top-down four player co-operative style of play. You'll still be able to play co-operatively in QForce but developer Insomniac Games, also responsible for the Resistance series, has also introduced some tower defence strategy elements. "It's about the move back to original Ratchet mechanics but then providing something different in the context of this tower defence", Insomniac boss Ted Price told Eurogamer in September.

Ratchet & Clank: QForce is out for PlayStation 3 on November 30th, with the PS Vita version following in January.
