Jak and Daxter Collection confirmed for PlayStation 3
Classic PlayStation platform series Jak and Daxter is to receive a special remastered collection of classic games for PlayStation 3 next year.
The Jak and Daxter Collection will be released in February 2012 and will include the first three games in the series - Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II and Jak 3.
Created by Naughty Dog, the team behind Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted, the series celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2011 and has produced some of the most popular titles on PlayStation 2.
For their PS3 debut, the games have been fully revamped with high-definition visuals, smoother gameplay animation, full stereoscopic 3D options and support for PlayStation Trophies.
Naughty Dog is working with the developers at Mass Media to ensure the revamped games live up to the legacy of the classic originals.
This will be Jak and Daxter's first full PlayStation 3 appearance, having previously featured alongside fellow mascots such as Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper in the party game PlayStation Move Heroes.
