Lost Planet 3 - the world is getting even harsher
The extreme and unpredictable conditions of the Lost Planet series return, harsher than before with an ever-changing climate that affects the way you play. Lost Planet 3 delivers a dynamic battlefield where you'll uncover new truths about the foreboding planet and the history of E.D.N.III.
In Lost Planet 3 you play as blue-collar worker Jim, risking assignments in treacherous conditions to earn hazard pay and return home to your family. This time, you'll find the story is a lot more emotive and affects the way you play. You're away from your family, sending videotapes back and forth, and you want to get back home.
Lost Planet 3 pits you against 23 different types of enemy Akrid and the unpredictable ice storms on E.D.N.III. You'll be equipped with your utility rig and an assortment of onboard tools, but this time the damage your rig takes will have an important role to play.
If your rig gets too much damage you'll need to go back to base to get it fixed. Depending on the damage repair costs will differ and you'll need to earn more coins to get ship shape.
Outside the rig, the action switches to third person and you'll be at the mercy of your surroundings. And which you fight to survive the forces of nature there will be a mix of gun and melee based combat to face. No pressure!
Lost Planet 3 has separated the single and multiplayer experience more this time round. Stepping away from linear gameplay, the world is a lot more open. As a contractor you're free to roam about to find things for your missions as you like.
Available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, Lost Planet 3 is due for release in early 2013.
