You may not have heard of Lords of the Fallen before, but once you know that it's a next generation console role-playing game from the producer of The Witcher 2, you'll probably want to know more.

With the game lined up for a 2014 release, producer Tomasz Gop has started to reveal more about what we can expect and for hardcore RPG fans that means a potentially infinite playing experience, while even the most casual player can expect a decent length story mode.

"If we're talking about strictly walking through the main quest and skipping everything else - what a loss! - then something along the lines of 15 hours might give you an idea [of length]," Gop told specialist website OnlySP.

However, Gop insists that the game's true audience is "achievers and completionists" and that they'll be well served with lots to do away from the main spine of the story. "Technically, with New Game +, exploration, lots of secrets and optional loot, [gameplay length] might be infinite," he revealed.

Lords of the Fallen is in development for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and is due for release in the Autumn.
