Microsoft has announced that Forza Motorsport 6 is in development. The reveal was made at the North American International Auto Show.
Developer Turn 10 will once again be behind the wheel for the Xbox One exclusive sequel. No gameplay features have been announced, but it has been confirmed that the new Ford GT supercar will grace the game's cover.
That sleek monster of a car will also be drivable in the game, as will the Shelby GT350 Mustang and F-150 Raptor, both of which were announced by Ford at the same show. It's part of a new deal between Microsoft and Ford.
John Wendl, Turn 10's Content Director, explained more to Polygon: We've been doing this game series for a long time, he said. But this is the first time we've been able to launch a car and a game at the same time.
No release date was confirmed, but the game will be playable at E3 in June, suggesting a 2015 release could be on the cards. For those who simply can't wait, check out Forza Horizon 2, the spin-off sandbox racer for Xbox One and Xbox 360 which came out last October.
