Driveclub and Project Cars both offering high performance extras

Two big racing simulators are heading for the track in a few months time, and both will be offering some seriously swanky bonuses.

Sony's Driveclub hits the starting grid first, with the PlayStation 4 exclusive due on October 8th. If you opt for the Special Edition of that game you'll get instant access to five tempting high performance cars to get you started. That would be the McLaren P1, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, Ferrari 458 Italia, Aston Martin v12 Vantage S and the Alfa Romeo 4C.

Also included are two exclusive in-game liveries to customise your vehicles, as well as two vinyl stickers that you can slap on your console, your real life car or even a slow moving pet.

Namco Bandai's Project Cars follows in November, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The limited edition of this ambitious simulator also offers a range of cool rides: the Ford GT40 MkIV, McLaren F1, BMW M1 Pro Car, Sauber C9 and Mercedes-Benz AMG C-Coupe DTM. The bundle also includes a book, Project Cars: By Racers 4 Racers, which traces the game's unusual crowd funded development where players helped to shape the finished experience.

As you can see, it's shaping up to be a pretty amazing season for racing games, and that's before you even factor in Forza Horizon 2 next month and Ubisoft's sandbox racer The Crew in November. Better stock up on petrol.
