DRAGON BALL FighterZ character pool is expanding again, Base Goku and Base Vegeta will be available early August on Xbox One, PlayStation®4 and PCs. The most famous rivals get their original form and with it come their powerful move sets. Base Goku can unleash the Kaioken formidable power to crush his opponent, when facing a fearsome enemy, he can use his most powerful skill: the Super Spirit Bomb. Base Vegeta, the proud Saiyan prince has access to his signature move: the Galick Gun. In order to annihilate opponent Vegeta will use his deadliest attack, the Galaxy Breaker, a devastating energy blast fired from his whole body.

Dragon Ball FighterZ as the name would suggest is primarily a fighting game, so naturally the roster of characters available is a huge focus. Players each select three characters that will then form the basis of their team. Similar to the mechanics in Marvel Ultimate Alliance, FighterZ allows players to control one character at a time, switching between the others at any time during a battle.
With such a huge list of characters available to play as, it’d be impossible to name all of them in any detail, so we’ve put together a few of the most exciting:
• Gohan: the son of series protagonist Goku and his wife Chichi.
• Gotenks: a fusion of Goten and Trunks, appearing alongside Trunks in-game.
• Piccolo: a character allying himself with the Z Fighter army of androids.
For fans of the franchise, one of the most important pieces of information will be the timeline in which the game is placed. It’s been noted by many sources that characters Goku and Vegeta are wearing their regular Gi armour, placing the game after the events of Universe 6.
Performance wise, Dragon Ball FighterZ will run at a resolution of 1080p and 60 frames per second on Sony’s PlayStation 4, meaning a fluid and graphically stunning game. The title features a design that is incredibly faithful to the original anime series with 3D characters implemented on a background of 2D animation. This lends itself to being called a 2.5D platformer similar to LittleBigPlanet.
