Crown and Anchor is a traditional English game, originating from the 18th century when it was a popular gambling game in the royal navy and fishing fleets.
This classic game includes a Crown and Anchor cloth and three special dice which are marked with six symbols: crown, anchor, diamond, spade, club and heart. Crown and Anchor is played between a player and a banker. The player places bets on one or more of the symbols which are on the cloth. He then throws the dice and if there is a bet on any symbol which comes up the dice, the banker pays the player the amount of his stake for each die showing the symbol: even money if one die, 2:1 if two dice and 3:1 if three dice. The player will lose his bet if the symbol does not show.
