Capcom's sci-fi thriller Remember Me gets summer release date

Remember Me, the promising cyberpunk action adventure from Capcom, has been given a June 7th release date in Europe, the publisher has confirmed.

In the game, you'll control Nilin, a "memory hunter" working in the city of Neo Paris who can invade and manipulate the memories of her subjects. When we meet her, she's banged up in Bastille Prison and her former employer has wiped her memories. From there, it's up to the player to piece Nilin's thoughts back together through exploration and melee combat.

You'll also be able to use your gift to help you along the way, delving into the minds of other characters and "remixing" their memories to make them do what you want, or to tease out information.

Remember Me is being developed by French studio Dontnod Entertainment, as part of Capcom's push to collaborate with more western developers. That approach last brought us Ninja Theory's excellent reboot of Devil May Cry, so here's hoping this is similarly impressive.

Remember Me will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on June 7th.
