APB Reloaded coming to consoles

APB Reloaded coming to consoles

Publisher Deep Silver has announced that anarchic cops versus criminals multiplayer action game APB Reloaded is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The free-to-play game has been available on PC since 2012 and over 5 million have signed up.

The game is set in the city of San Paro, and allows players to choose between the Enforcers and Criminals as they fight for control of the streets. Massive carnage is the game's main selling point, with 50 vs 50 battles possible.

The console version has been developed by The Workshop Entertainment, which helped out on Shinji Mikami's splatterific horror game The Evil Within and also contributed to the Borderlands 2 expansion Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage.

The game will be free to download and play, although Xbox One owners will need to have a Live Gold account to join in. PlayStation Network will not require a Plus membership to play.

As with the PC game, customisation is at the heart of the game, with loads of ways to personalise your character, their vehicles and weapons. You'll be able to buy new customisations, but can also earn new gear through play.

Deep Silver says APB Reloaded will arrive in “second quarter 2015”, which means somewhere between April and June.
