This new title in the Animal Crossing series focuses on the decorating and home-designing aspects of the Animal Crossing games.
Animals will ask players to design houses for them, and it's up to designers-in-the-making to meet the animals' requests by furnishing and decorating their homes, turning their dream home into a reality.
Animals will tell you what kind of house they want to live in - listen to their requests, then pick a style, choose furniture and decorations and create a happy home for them.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer works with new amiibo cards which feature characters from the Animal Crossing franchise.
By scanning a new Animal Crossing series amiibo card to a New Nintendo 3DS system or NFC reader/writer accessory, players can design a room for that specific character on the card and scan additional character cards to invite those characters to visit.
Use new Animal Crossing series amiibo cards with New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL or, with an NFC reader/writer accessory and Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS.

Working in the same fashion as amiibo figures, use your amiibo cards in-game to unlock bonuses, character upgrades and much, much, more. As more cards are released you'll have even more options and games to use these in.
In Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, use the amiibo cards to unlock new challenges in the game. Each card contains a new animal whose house you'll have to get to work on. Build them the perfect house and invite them to stay in your village.
Each Animal Crossing amiibo card pack includes 3 cards, 2 normal and 1 special card, giving you even more characters to help out in your game!

amiibo Card FAQ
What are amiibo cards?
amiibo cards are Nintendo's latest innovation in amiibo technology. The amiibo cards have the same functionality as the amiibo figures.
Much like the figures, these cards will unlock new characters, challenges and much more in-game.
How do you use amiibo cards?
Using your amiibo cards couldn't be easier. If you have a New 3DS, simply tap the card onto the console and the card will be activated on your game.
If you have an older 3DS, 3DS XL, or 2DS, then you will need the NFC Reader/Writer accessory. Simply connect this to your console then present the card and it will be activated in your game.
What do amiibo cards do in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer?
Each card for Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer will give you a new character to help create a home for.
Some of these can be unlocked through the game, however the special characters are only available through the amiibo cards.
Who can use amiibo cards?
amiibo cards can be used across multiple 3DS consoles, meaning you can trade these cards with your fellow Animal Crossing friends!
What games are amiibo cards compatible with?
