  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS: GAME VR Experience

    1. ACCEPTANCE: These terms and conditions apply to any use of a Playstation VR headset ("PS VR") in any store or demonstration area run by GAME Retail limited ("Game" or "we") as part of a GAME VR Experience booking. By booking a GAME VR Experience on PS VR you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, whether you have paid for the demonstration or not.

    2. BOOKING A PS VR DEMONSTRATION: In order to book a GAME VR Experience on PS VR, you must choose a time and date for your demonstration, provide your name and a contact phone number and pay the relevant fee:

    a. For a 10 minute demonstration: £5.00

    b. For a 20 minute demonstration: £10.00

    c. For a 30 minute demonstration: £15.00

    3. If you placed a deposit to purchase PS VR before 15 October 2016, and can provide proof of your deposit at the point where you make the booking, you may book one GAME VR Experience on PS VR of up to 30 minutes at no charge. Any further GAME VR Experience beyond the first must be paid for.

    4. GAME reserves the right to alter the fees and booking process for GAME VR Experiences at any time. Any such change will only affect bookings made after we announce such change via a notice on our website.

    5. AGE RESTRICTIONS: You must be over 12 to be able to use PS VR in-store. If the person who will be using PS VR is under 16, a parent or guardian must consent to their doing so.

    6. BEFORE USING PS VR: You must read and sign the separate disclaimer form ("Disclaimer"). If the person who will be using PS VR is under 16, a parent or guardian must indicate their consent by must signing the disclaimer on behalf of their child. In that case, the parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring that their child complies with these terms and conditions and with the Disclaimer.

    7. A member of GAME staff will brief you on how to use PS VR and what you will experience while using PS VR. You must listen to and comply with their instructions.

    8. WHEN USING PS VR: While using PS VR in-store you must

    a. remain seated at all times and until headset is removed;

    b. close eyes and raise your hand if you become uncomfortable and want to stop the demo;

    c. remain calm and minimise erratic head and limb movements;

    d. stop moving if GAME staff place a hand on your shoulder; and

    e. not touch, remove or interfere with the headset or connected equipment except as directed by GAME staff.

    9. You must not damage the PS VR headset used during your GAME VR Experience, nor any other part of the GAME store in which the demonstration takes place, nor any other persons within the store. We reserve the right to take such actions as may be available to us due to your breach of these terms and conditions or the Disclaimer.

    10. PS VR DEPOPSITS: If, following the completion of your GAME VR Experience, you wish to purchase your own PS VR headset, you may place a deposit to do so. The fee you paid for your GAME VR Experience will be deducted from the usual deposit to be paid. This offer is only available immediately after the completion of your PS VR Experience and is only available once. This offer is not available if you had already placed a deposit before 15 October 2016.

    11. OUR LIABILITY TO YOU: We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of our employees and agents. We do not seek to exclude liability for fraud by us or our employees or agents. For any other loss or damage, we will only be liable for losses which are a reasonably foreseeable consequence of our negligence or breach of these terms and conditions, up to a maximum of £100. Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and us at the time of you entering this competition.

    12. WHAT WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR: We are not responsible for:

    a. losses not caused by our breach or negligence

    b. indirect losses - these are losses which are a side effect of the main loss or damage and which are not reasonably foreseeable by you and us at the time of you entering this competition

    c. entries lost, delayed, damaged or corrupted where such loss, delay, damage or corruption is caused by events outside of our reasonable control

    d. technical failures or errors affecting communication lines, website availability or systems errors where these are not within our reasonable control, or

    e. any failure to provide the competition, the prize(s) or to meet any of our obligations under these terms and conditions where that failure arise because of events outside of our reasonable control.

    13. DISPUTES: If you wish to take court proceedings against GAME you must do so within the United Kingdom. The law of the part of the United Kingdom of which you are a resident shall apply, for example, if you live in England the laws of England shall apply and if you live in Scotland the laws of Scotland shall apply.

    5. INVALID ENTRIES: We only permit one entry per person. Entries must be submitted using the template provided - entries made in any other fashion will not be valid. Examples of entries or behaviour which are not allowed include fraudulent entries, bulk entries, automated entries, entries made on behalf of another person, cheating (including a person participating in the competition on your behalf), hacking, deception (including tampering with the challenge settings which will result in immediate disqualification from the entire competition), use of robots or other automated programmes.     The event is the Xbox One Experience at the location and on the time and date you select when you book the tickets.

    Admission to attend the event is by pre-booked timed ticket only.

    Tickets are available free of charge and are non-transferrable.

    You must be at least 12 years old to register for a ticket. Ticket holders under the age of 16 must have obtained the consent of a parent or guardian before attending the event, and may be asked to prove that such consent has been given before being admitted to the event.

    Each ticket entitles the holder to enter the Xbox Experience pod during the specified period and to play games on the Xbox One within.

    By registering for a ticket, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions; and

    Access

    You must arrive on time for the event that you have booked. We reserve the right to refuse access if you arrive late. At our discretion, we may offer you an alternative available time if you are late for your event.
