Hey there gamers,

Right then who's going to help me.

Am 34 this year and like most 80's kids i've spent most of my life with a game console intoe.

I have a PS2 and have enjoyed puzzle platform games such as the Tomb Raider, Kula World and such like and have never enjoyed the shout 'em up games really.

I also love watching movies and subscribe to Love Film, I use FB and would maybe like to save/download music on a console if possible.

Bearing in mind the GAME play is the most inportant, what do you think I should invest in and what games are avalible on this console?

Someone out there please give me some advice as I want to get back into enjoying my gaming again.

Ta, EM x

Hay just hold on to the wii u, should be out in nov or dec, will fit all ur needs and all the games u like to play, Ps to clarify about the Xbox 360 - Xbox Live is free for a trial for one month (so you can download demos and play online during that time) but beyond that, you'll need to pay a subscription fee. PSN is free to sign up for. Demos are free, but full games and PS Plus (the Premium service) do cost money : ) Hi Em, It's good to hear you're getting back into gaming! I assume from what you're saying that you'd prefer a household console over a handheld such as the PS Vita or 3DS. I would say that you'd probably do best off in investing in a 360 or a PS3. I (personally) think that the PS3's user interface is a little bit more friendly, but both consoles have a lot of really useful features to offer. For example, you can use the BBC i-player, ITV player and 4oD on PS3. You can also activate your Lovefilm account on there for streaming (or for selecting DVDs to rent by post). You can also activate Netflix, a Music Unlimited account (music on demand) and Vidzone (free music video service). The PS3 plays MP3s (fairly good at handling music files) and you can watch videos you may have on there as well. The PlayStation Network is free to sign up for and you can use this to play online or download demos, films and games from the PlayStation Store. I'd say that the PS3's internet browser isn't amazing, but does the job on most sites. The Xbox 360 has a whole host of features too, including the stuff about videos and music. It has Xbox Live, which is free to try but does charge a fee online gaming. You can buy downloads on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The Xbox 360 has a host of media features - such as the ability to use Sky on your 360. There's also lot of buzz around Smart Glass which will be coming soon (basically, interaction between your console and any Smart phone / tablet devices to enhance your gaming experience). Both consoles offer a lot, and both offer a massive amount of choice in games. Some of the exclusives for Xbox 360 (which you can't get on PS3) are pretty amazing, such as Halo (shooter), Gears of War (shooter) and Forza Motorsport. For PS3, I'd recommend the Uncharted games (a bit similar to Tomb Raider in that there's some shooting, but a lot of adventuring). LittleBigPlanet is quite easy to get in to - it's basically a platformer, but you can build your own levels and share with others (and play their levels). The Jak and Daxter trilogy, Ratchet and Clank trilogy (and newer Ratchet games) are all really good platformers. Heavy Rain is also really good. It's difficult to explain, but I suppose it's an adventure game of sorts. You control characters and the story develops, based on what you do in the game. It's got a great storyline and is really good once it gets going. Both consoles have a lot of games which I think you'd enjoy. Platformers like Sonic Generations and adventure games like Enslaved and Tomb Raider are available on both consoles. If you prefer, you can always stick to the classics - and there are a lot of Arcade gems to download (Xbox Live) and PS1/PS2 classics (PlayStation Store). Well, I hope that all helps! Happy gaming : )
