EA has revealed that Shift 2 Unleashed, the latest spinoff title in its Need for Speed series, will be arriving in stores in March 2011.
The high-octane racer will debut in European stores a few days before its US launch and will be accompanied by a Limited Edition release that includes additional content.
Gamers who opt for the special version of the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC game will gain exclusive access to the in-game Silvia spec.R Aero, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640.
In addition, the Limited Edition version will pack in an extra 40 unique career mode events.
Shift 2 Unleashed is set to be one of the most intense and fast-paced instalments in the renowned series, challenging players to keep control of their vehicles as they hurtle along at speeds of 200 mph.
It will introduce a brand-new graphics engine and an updated version of the franchise's acclaimed social network feature, the Need for Speed Autolog.
