Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars out in February 2011

The ever-popular Lego Star Wars series is to make its triumphant return early next year.

Publisher Activision has revealed that Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will be out on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS, PSP and PC in February 2011, offering a comedic brick-based take on the hit animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

The newest entry in TT Games' series will feature characters such as Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano and dozens of others as they battle their way through 20 story missions and 40 bonus levels.

New to this instalment will be large-scale army-based ground battles, epic ship-to-ship space combat and overhauled Jedi powers, including new lightsaber moves and Force abilities.

Players will be challenged to get to grips with these features as they take on massive bosses such as the Zillo Beast and zip around between 16 different star systems.

Activision also promised that the series' tongue-in-cheek humour will remain in place, as famous events from the series are retold via voiceless Lego-based comedy cutscenes.
