Call of Duty: Black Ops score to receive iTunes release

Activision has revealed that the adrenaline-pumping score for the forthcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops will be released as an album via iTunes.

The soundtrack album will include 30 tracks from the forthcoming Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii and DS shooter from Treyarch and will be released on November 9th 2010, the day of the game's launch.

Black Ops' music has been supplied by noted composer Sean Murray, a veteran of games and films who previously provided the score for Call of Duty: World at War.

Murray's soundtrack will contribute to a high-quality audio presentation in the game, as the title also includes the vocal talents of Hollywood actors Gary Oldman and Ed Harris.

Anticipation is high over Call of Duty: Black Ops, which introduces 3D visuals to the series and is shaping up to be one of the biggest sellers of the year.

It was recently named as the most wanted game of the festive period by industry experts at this year's Golden Joystick Awards.
