Bioware is turning to its fans to come up with a magical item for use in Dragon Age Inquisition. The Untold Relics of Thedas contest is live now, and is open until 20 July.
To enter, all you have to do is come up with an idea for a magical item that could feature in the game. It could be an amulet, a ring or a belt basically any accessory that a character could equip and it must offer some variation on the abilities and perks already available in the game, so you can't come up with a belt that makes you fly, for example.
"It's not enough to just come up with the item, however, you have to give it a unique name and backstory worthy of the game's rich and deep lore. Make it funny, make it mysterious, make it sad, but above all else, make sure it affects gameplay in an interesting and unique way," says Bioware. "Whether it's high risk/high reward or encourages nonstandard min-maxing, we want items that will get your fellow Inquisitors thinking about how they play in new ways."
If you want to enter, you can simply email your suggestions to relics@bioware.com. There's a handy list of usable abilities on the developer's blog as well. Once the contest closes, the three best entries will be chosen and included in a future DLC update for everyone to find.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
