Mario Kart Wii has snatched the lead on the final corner to win the battle of the Nintendo Wii-exclusive titles and finish top of the podium for sales in Australia for the week ending July 6, reports next-gen.biz.
The Nintendo Wii had the games in the top four spaces of the Australian chart, with Mario Kart Wii holding off the challenge of the previous week's most bought title Super Smash Bros. Brawl, in the chart compiled by Gfk Australia.
Wii Play finished in third with Wii Fit just behind in fourth.
Mario had fun in the chart this week, with Mario Kart for the Nintendo DS in eighth, New Super Mario Bros, also on the DS in ninth and Mario & Sonic in tenth.
The only non Nintendo title to make the top ten in the chart was SingStar Party Hits Bundle which finished sixth.
There was no place in the top ten for PS3-exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, despite it topping the chart just two weeks ago.
