A report in the Multiplayer Blog at MTV.com had suggested the forthcoming adventure title would enable four-player gaming, but a producer for the game has now denied this.
In an email to the report's author, Stephen Totilo, the LucasArts contact wrote: "Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures will feature the user-friendly drop-in/drop-out two-player cooperative feature that players have come to know and love.
"However, we are not expanding this feature to a higher player count. I certainly do apologise for any confusion that has arisen."
However, the game promises to be exciting. In the demo shown to Mr Totilo, a Lego Indy was shown avoiding alligators, jumping over a floor with spikes, and outrunning a boulder.
Indy's whip will be an important tool, used to pick up items and to swing across gaps.
