Upcoming skateboard game reboot Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 will be “like a skatepark that never closes" according to developer Robomodo. The studio's president Josh Tsui made the claim in a post on the official PlayStation blog discussing the game's online features.

“Our goal is to capture the combo-driven energy and tightly designed levels of the Pro Skater games while ambitiously expanding the experience with seamless online play," he explained. “The gameplay is in the signature style of classic Pro Skater games in a brand-new set of levels with the same focus on daring objectives, fine-tuned controls, and high-score tricks - including manuals and reverts - for stringing together those huge combos."

Online is where the game will really come to life, he says, as you're able to drop in to ongoing multiplayer skate sessions with up to 20 other players. From there, you're able to complete missions, launch competitive challenges and unlock new content. You can also create your own skate park and share it with the community.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 launches in September. An offline-only version of the game will also launch for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year.
